THE BASICS
Are the boards electric or fuel-powered?
The answer is both. Five of our models are fuel-powered. Recently, we've also added a fully electric version.
What is the max load of the boards?

Does the board float on the water?
The board is built to run on the water, not to idle on the water. The board can easily hold your body weight while the board is moving however you should not chill on the board while the board is idle.
Can I try before I buy?
Absolutely. You can visit one of our Jetfly Academies or Ambassador locations and enjoy either a full JetflyAcademy session with the Academy trainers of the "try before you buy" session with our ambassadors.
How much does it weigh?
The fuel-powered boards weigh less than 41 lbs. The Jetfly Electric weighs 64 lbs (this is including the battery)
Can it be registered as a personal watercraft?
Absolutely. The board can be registered as a personal watercraft at your local DMV (tag agency). All you need to register your board is a certificate of origin and the invoice. We strongly suggest registering the board after the purchase.
Does the board come with a certificate of origin?

What is the difference between Regular and Goofy foot?
Regular riders put their left foot forward and hold the control handle in their left hand. Goofy riders put their right foot forward and hold the control handle in their right hand.
What is the top speed?
The top speed of our JetSurf boards ranges from 33 mph to 40 mph depending on the model.
What is the cruising range?
The cruising range of our fuel-powered boards is around 50-55 minutes on one fuel tank (0.75 gallons). The cruising range of the Jetfly Electric is around 35 minutes on one fully charged battery pack.
Can I check-in the Jetfly board at the airport as oversized luggage?
The big advantage of the fuel-powered JetSurfboards is that you can check it in as a surfboard with TSA and fly to some exotic destinations. You can not do this with the JetSurf Electric because of its Lithium battery.
The fuel tank needs to be completely dry and removed from the board. It needs to travel in your backpack. Same with the ICU. Remove it from the board and put it into your backpack.
Rinse and dry the board completely and wrap with a few layers of bubble wrap. Check it in as a surfboard at the airport.
Can I ride with it in salt water?
Absolutely. You can ride the JetSurf boards in salt water. Around 50% of our customers in the U.S. ride the boards in saltwater. Just remember you need to rinse the JetSurf board after every salt water ride to keep the board in good condition.
THE LEARNING PROCESS
Do I need to know how to surf to use a Jet Boards?
Not really. Of course it makes it easier to have a prior board sports experience (longboard, wakeboard, snowboard, ...) but it is not necessary. Even riders without any prior board sports experience usually pick it up within 30 minutes and manage to stand up and ride.
I ride dirt bikes. Will that help me during the learning process?
Absolutely. JetSurfing is actually a little bit like riding a dirt bike on the water. The sense of stability and the experience with using the throttle will definitely help you learn how to ride aJetSurf.
I need training wheels. How do I go about it?
Looking for easier way to learn how to ride a JetSurf? Would you like to let your children share the board or just welcome more buoyancy? Then, the JetSurf Tube will definitely be your favorite. A rubber tube fitted to your board will create one of the most stable surfing crafts. This inflatable accessory will not take up too much space for transport and can easily be strapped to all JETSURF models.

How much do the boards cost?
The price of the boards ranges from $9900 USD to $14900 USD depending on the model.
Do you have the boards in stock or are they custom-made?
We keep the boards in our Florida stock. However, during peak season, we can't guarantee the availability of all colors and boards we produce in smaller batches (like the JetSurf Electric or theJetSurf Titanium DFI).
How do I pay the JetSurf board deposit?
You can place your JetSurf board deposit at www.jetsurfusa.com on the board detail page with your credit/debit card.
Why do I pay the deposit?
You pay the deposit to guarantee you get the right board model and color.
Is the JetSurf board deposit refundable?
Yes, the JetSurf board deposit is fully refundable.
What happens after I place the JetSurf board deposit?
Our sales team will reach out to you to confirm the availability of the board and the correct bindings set-up (Goofy or Regular), to give you the ETA, confirm the shipping address, and to guide you through the payment process.
How do I pay the remaining JetSurf board balance?
Our sales team will send you the order confirmation once you confirm the model, color, bindings, and shipping address. You can choose either a Credit card, ACH, Bank wire, or certified check to pay the balance due.
What is the ETA once I pay the JetSurf board balance?
We usually ship the board 2-3 business days after we receive the full payment. This gives us time to arrange the correct bindings set-up and issue the certificate of origin and the invoice so you can register the board at your local tag agency without any issues.
The board box ships with UPS ground so it usually takes another 2-4 business days to get it delivered to the East Coast and about 4-7 business days to get it delivered to the West Coast of the U.S.

Do I pay tax?
If your billing address is in Florida, you can expect to pay 6-6.5% Florida state tax during the purchase.
If your billing address is outside of Florida, you will not pay any Florida state tax during the purchase. However, your local tag agency might ask you to pay the state tax when registering the board.
What is your general return policy?
· If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, you can return the product and get a refund or exchange the product for another one.
· You can return a product for up to 30 days from the date of purchase.
· Any product you return must be in the same condition you received it in as well as in the original packaging. We only accept returns on boards that have not been ridden in the water.
· Please keep the receipt and be aware that a 10% re-stocking fee applies!
· Please be aware that there are no returns on helmets.
· Shipping costs are not returned and the label for shipping back is not included

What's in the box?
The board comes with all you need to enjoy the board: The bindings, the fuel tank, the control handle, the stand, the fins, the toolbox, the charger, the board bag, the engine shut-off key.

How does the 12-month warranty work?
If for some reason your board is malfunctioning, Awake will do a remote analysis of the board and conclude whether it is subject to the 1-year warranty. If a module needs to be serviced, we will take care of the freight and handling.
How do I clean my board?
You simply rinse the board and the batteries with fresh water after the ride. For cosmetic reasons, this is advised when riding in salty waters.
Is it hard to learn how to ride?
Most riders stand up comfortably in one to two rides. A pro tip is to start at a lower power mode and get comfortable with the sensitivity of the throttle.
What is included with each board?
Everything you need to get going: Board, battery, wireless remote, chargers, fins, and a magnetic power key to activate your board and to charge the batteries.
Can the usage time be extended?
Basically, 1 battery pack is included when purchasing the board, and it can be easily attached and detached, so you can extend the usage time by using an additional battery pack.
Are the battery packs compatible with all boards?
It is compatible with all boards sold by JW BOARD and can be used.
What should I do if I have a technical problem?
First, refer to the product instruction manual.

The total number of uses of the battery can be used 500~1,000 times.
Continuous use may result in performance degradation.
How long is the product warranty period?
The warranty period of all boards is 12 months from the date of purchase, and the battery pack is 6 months.
In addition, consumables are not covered under warranty.
How do electric surfboards work?
These boards are like traditional surfboards, but they have their own independent power source. This is either in the form of a propeller or a jet stream. These are usually powered by rechargeable batteries, but can also be used with fuel engines.
Is an motorized surfboard difficult to ride?
Riding an motorized surfboard is surprisingly easy. These watercraft are similar to jet skis and wake boarding. This means that they do require some balance, but are generally pretty stable. You also have full control over them.
How hard is it to ride an electric surfboard?Are electric surfboards expensive?
Yes. As these products are very specialized, and require many different parts, electric surfboards are significantly more expensive than traditional ones. However, they should be thought of more like a small jet-ski than a regular surfboard.
JETFLY ELECTRIC SURFBOARDS FAQ
HOW DO ELECTRIC SURFBOARDS WORK?
An electric surfboard works via a motor that sends water through a nozzle at the back of the board, providing enough thrust to move the board forward. The motor is powered by a lithium-ion battery pack, which has enough capacity to provide a running time of 20 to 65 minutes, depending on your style and various other riding conditions. The electric motor is steered by a hand remote with an easy-to-use thumb throttle that allows the motor to run at your desired speed with complete control.
IS IT DIFFICULT TO RIDE A ELECTRIC SURFBOARD?
No, electric surfboards are actually very easy to ride! You just need a little practice, which is typical for most water sports activities. Our tip for beginners is to start by lying down flat, which will enable you to get the surf-like feel. Speed and acceleration will always work in your favour as far as stabilization goes because they’ll help you plane— so once you start going faster, you’ll slowly be able to stand up. Most of our riders can stand up on our electric boards within 30 minutes of trying them for the first time.
CAN I RIDE A JETBOARD IN SALT WATER?
Yes, you can absolutely ride in salt water, but you should always rinse the entire board with fresh water after to remove any salt residue.
CAN I RIDE AN ELECTRIC SURFBOARD WITH WAVES?
Our JF05 is specifically designed to ride through waves. For our other models, wave and wake-riding is possible and makes the experience more challenging.
WHICH JETBOARD SHOULD I CHOOSE?
Each of our jetboards has their unique advantages.
The JF01 is best used on flat, open bodies of water. This jetboard is perfect for going on long rides exploring the nature around you.
The JF04 is our ultimate, all-purpose product. This jetboard holds the perfect balance between agility and stability, and can slice through slice through waves and choppy waters.
The JF05 takes longer to master for those unfamiliar with board sports, but offers a unique turning style and trick capabilities that seasoned boardsports enthusiasts crave. This jetboard is also great through choppy waters— it is designed to carve through waves and responds readily when riders initiate a turn.
DO I NEED A WETSUIT?
Wetsuits aren’t a requirement to enjoy jetboarding, but they are highly recommended as they keep your body warm while you ride and also offer a degree of protection for your legs, knees, and elbows, which can sometimes get bruised and scuffed as you master standing up. The other benefit of a wetsuit is the buoyancy they offer. If you don’t wear a wetsuit, then a lifejacket is recommended.
Wetsuit booties are also recommended for riding in colder Northern waters and climates.

HOW DO I CHARGE MY BATTERY?
Compatible with the US plug, you can charge the battery in any 220V / 110V outlet. It is important when you charge that the charging area, the chargers and the connectors, are all completely dry and safe from splashing. If multiple appliances are running on the same fuse, make sure that it can bear an additional 2,000 Watts of energy.

HOW DO I CONTROL MY RIDING SPEED?
Your riding speed is controlled with the wireless hand remote, which allows you to adjust the speed and acceleration rate of your jetboard with smooth and precise control.
You accelerate by pressing the throttle, and slow down by reducing pressure. To avoid falling while trying to master riding the board, it is important to increase and decrease the throttle gradually.
HOW FAST DO ELECTRIC SURFBOARDS GO?
The maximum speed registered on our electric surfboards is 41 MPH(65km/h).
It’s also important to note that the speed can be affected by the rider’s weight, riding style and the weather and battery conditions.
HOW DO I TURN ON MY BOARD?
Always make sure your assembly and battery insertion take place in a dry area.
Carefully insert the battery into the battery compartment and close the handle locks .
Fasten the leash around your ankle securely and connect your board to the hand remote. Next, press the throttle down for a few seconds until the LEDs light up. Once a connection is established, the LEDs will stop flashing.
Proceed to attach the magnet kill-switch to its cradle at the backside of the board.
You can now take your board into the water to ride.
HOW LONG IS A ELECTRIC SURFBOARD RIDE?
We offer two types of battery range:
Standard, with an estimated ride time of about 30 minutes, and
Extended, with an estimated ride time of about 45-65 minutes.
Note that riding times will always depend greatly on variables such as riding style, rider weight, the battery pack’s level of charge, and the air and water temperature. If you go at top speed and really explore the performance of the board, you’ll have a shorter riding time. If you cruise at a more moderate speed, you’ll be riding for longer. While these are common factors, they are not a guarantee of effective riding time.
WATER GOT INTO THE CONNECTOR OF THE BOARD/ THE BATTERY. WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?
Do NOT connect the battery to the board. Instead, allow it to dry for a couple of hours. To prevent this from happening, always make sure you store the board in dry conditions and assemble/disassemble the board away from the water.
WHAT ARE THE WEIGHT LIMITS FOR RIDING THE RADINN JETBOARD?
The maximum weight for our jetboards can carry up to 150kg / 330 lbs
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I FALL OFF THE BOARD WHILE RIDING?
You get only wet! Our boards are designed with a safety strap that velcros around your ankle and attaches to the board via a magnetic kill switch. Should you fall off while riding, the strap will disconnect and the board will turn off automatically. When you reattach the leash, the hand control reconnects to the board will allows you to continue your adventure.
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN MY PURCHASE?
Our complete jetboard package consists of one board and one battery. For every complete board, you’ll also receive a charger, one pair of fins, a wireless hand remote, and a board leash—everything you need to make the most out of your ride as below picture shown.
Foot binding straps are also included with the board kit.
WHAT IS THE AVERAGE BATTERY CHARGING TIME?
With our speed charger, it is 3.5 hours.
WHERE CAN I RIDE THE JETBOARD?
In most countries, you can ride jetboards in any body of water as long as you follow the local rules and regulations. Please check with your local authorities for areas that are restricted and always respect the no-wake zones (e.g. in port areas). Be especially careful in areas with a lot of boat traffic and always be respectful when swimmers are around.
WHY ARE JETBOARDS SO EXPENSIVE?
Our jetboards are manufactured with expensive materials, including powerful motors, lithium-ion batteries, and durable carbon bodies. Additionally, each jetboard component is packed with the latest cutting-edge technology that allows our customers to secure performance upgrades and firmware updates. Development of a new jetboard model takes up to 12 months. To justify the cost of production and importation, we sell our jetboards at the current price point.

Where can you buy an Electric Surfboard
Electric surfing is still a developing and fairly uncharted sport. This means that these boards are still very much specialized products, and can’t just be found at your local surf shop.
Electric surfboards use pretty complex designs and consist of many parts. This means that they are often custom ordered, and built for each rider’s specific needs. Due to this, it is often best to buy motorized surfboards directly through the manufacturers. Jetfly is available here to meet your needs.

FAQs of Electric Surfboards
Do you need a boating license to ride the boards?Whether a boating license is required for riding the boards depends on the regulations of the country in which the boards will be used. In China & Germany you do not need a driver’s license for watercrafts with less than 15 horsepower. No drivers licence is therefore required for riding a jetfly board in Germany*. Whether need license please complying with local regulations
Is there an age limit for riding the boards?Tianyun Geek, as manufacturer has defined a minimum age of 18 years for the usage of its jetboards. However, the legal requirements of the country in which the board is used apply.
Is there a weight limit for riding the boards?The recommended weight limit for riding the boards is 150kg. Please note that if you weigh over 150kg you might experience difficulties when riding the boards.
Can the boards be used in all public waters?The regulations and restrictions for water traffic are defined on a regional level. The user of the board is responsible for complying with local regulations*.
Can you ride waves with the jetfly boards?While calm water is optimal for riding a Jetfly board, the boards can be used in waves and it is possible to ride waves with the boards. Please note that there is an additional risk of personal injury and damaging the boards when used in waves.
How long does it take to assemble and disassemble the jetfly boards?You can easily assemble and disassemble the jetfly board battery pack in less than five minutes,no other tools are needed.
Can you charge the batteries using the outlet in a car or a boat?The power supply for charging the batteries should be 7 Ampere and 230-volt with a minimum of 1,5kW. While this power-supply is not provided in standard cars, it should not be a problem to charge the batteries in most larger-sized boats, where more powerful generators are standard.
Can I extend the daily running time of my jetfly board?Yes, it is possible to extend your boards’ running time by using an additional battery. In comparison with other board systems where a build-in-battery is used, Jetfly boards features a simple plug-and-play battery system that allows for a fast battery change. By using an additional battery, you can more than double your boards daily running time. Please note that the riding style and weight of the user, as well as the weather conditions (wind, waves) influence the battery’s running time.
How much does an additional battery cost?It took USD2500.As we distribute the Jetfly boards through a network of dealers, please contact your respective dealer for price information.
How much are the shipping costs?We distribute the boards through our network of dealers. Shipping cost are therefore dependent on and is determined by the respective dealers.
Can the Jetfly boards be customized?Customization of the board may be possible depending on the order quantity and customization request.
When is the gas surfboard available for purchase?The Gas surfboard currently only exists as a prototype and the board is planned to be launched in the next upcoming years. The exact point in time has not yet been determined.
What do I do if I have technical issues with my board?If you experience technical issues with your board, please refer to the operator manual. If you are in need of further assistance, please contact your dealer from whom you bought your board.
What guarantee conditions are offered when buying a Jetfly board?In addition to the statutory manufacturer warranty (see terms and conditions), an additional guarantee may be offered by the individual dealers. For more information related to guarantee conditions, please contact your respective dealer.
Is the technology of the current Jetfly boards compatible with the technology of the 'old' boards?No, the board technology was completely reconstructed and advanced improvements were made.
In which countries can I purchase and use the Jetfly board?The Jetfly is currently approved for sale in the EU, USA, Asian, Middle East market and also complies with the relevant EU directives in the form of the CE declaration of conformity. Any necessary registration or certification in additional markets outside the above is in progress, and the development of new markets is planned for 2023.
What is the current delivery time for Electric board or Rescue boards?At the moment there is sufficient inventory available so that orders can be shipped within a few days.

Is 55 MPH crazy scary fast?
Yes, 55 MPH is very fast. Maybe too fast. But if you are skilled at surfing and riding in a relatively quiet/open water area, you will really enjoy the extra speed. Also, you can outrun most sharks at that speed, which could be a nice benefit.
Regardless of the top speed, everyone can enjoy the increased acceleration that comes with a powerful motor.
The Electric Jet Body Board is good to take a person as heavy as 100kg (220lbs).
How do you operate the Setro Electric Jet Body Board? Do I have to use the rope?
Every Setro Electric Jet Body Board comes with a red rope and handle/hand throttle that allows you to control your speed and balance.
The rope serves 2 purposes:
1.) It helps you feel more secure to the board especially when there are waves. It helps the new rider to maintain the balance, but when you are good this is not necessary.
2.) The rope connects to the throttle, by pressing which you control the speed.
So you will always need to hold the throttle but can keep the rope relaxed when you are good at riding.
How much will it cost to buy an extra swappable battery?
The swappable battery is US$999 for the Electric Jet Body Board..
With two batteries, you can have nearly 3 hours of riding time at a moderate throttle.
How will you handle service, repairs, and spare parts?
We are offering a 1 year warranty and parts are available for life. The Setro Electric Jet Body Board has a modular design, which allows us to send you the broken parts for free.
In fact, most of the parts would be relatively easy to change by yourself. Otherwise, it would need to be sent to our service centers for repair or replacement.
At now we only have one service center in USA, but we got many interested distributors from Germany, France, Spain, Italy etc more to come and once they confirm the distributorship, they will become our service center as well.
What regular maintenance is required? Can I do it myself?
One of the benefits of Jet Surfboard over combustion engine surfboards is they are almost free of maintenance.
Remember to wash it thoroughly after use in the ocean and charge the battery at least every three months when not in use.
What did your reliability testing consist of?
Yes quite similar to other products which consist of aging and reliability testing of the motor, battery, controller and propulsion system etc.
What has been the main maintenance problem with similar boards and what have you learned from it?
The problem with a combustion engine jet surfboard is that they have to leave an air intake hole, by which the water is quickly getting in, and maintenance is required whenever water gets into the engine.
With a battery solution, everything is sealed, and no water would be able to get into the driving system. We also spent a ton of time to solving the battery overheating problem which many other surfboard brands struggle with.
How do you get the board in and out of the water? Could my 13-year old to use it?

HOW DO ELECTRIC SURFBOARDS WORK?
An electric surfboard works via a motor that sends water through a nozzle at the back of the board, providing enough thrust to move the board forward. The motor is powered by a lithium-ion battery pack, which has enough capacity to provide a running time of 20 to 65 minutes, depending on your style and various other riding conditions. The electric motor is steered by a hand remote with an easy-to-use thumb throttle that allows the motor to run at your desired speed with complete control.
IS IT DIFFICULT TO RIDE A ELECTRIC SURFBOARD?
No, electric surfboards are actually very easy to ride! You just need a little practice, which is typical for most water sports activities. Our tip for beginners is to start by lying down flat, which will enable you to get the surf-like feel. Speed and acceleration will always work in your favour as far as stabilization goes because they’ll help you plane— so once you start going faster, you’ll slowly be able to stand up. Most of our riders can stand up on our electric boards within 30 minutes of trying them for the first time.
CAN I RIDE A JETBOARD IN SALT WATER?
Yes, you can absolutely ride in salt water, but you should always rinse the entire board with fresh water after to remove any salt residue.
CAN I RIDE AN ELECTRIC SURFBOARD WITH WAVES?
Our JF05 is specifically designed to ride through waves. For our other models, wave and wake-riding is possible and makes the experience more challenging.

The JF01 is best used on flat, open bodies of water. This jetboard is perfect for going on long rides exploring the nature around you.
The JF04 is our ultimate, all-purpose product. This jetboard holds the perfect balance between agility and stability, and can slice through slice through waves and choppy waters.
The JF05 takes longer to master for those unfamiliar with board sports, but offers a unique turning style and trick capabilities that seasoned boardsports enthusiasts crave. This jetboard is also great through choppy waters— it is designed to carve through waves and responds readily when riders initiate a turn.
DO I NEED A WETSUIT?
Wetsuits aren’t a requirement to enjoy jetboarding, but they are highly recommended as they keep your body warm while you ride and also offer a degree of protection for your legs, knees, and elbows, which can sometimes get bruised and scuffed as you master standing up. The other benefit of a wetsuit is the buoyancy they offer. If you don’t wear a wetsuit, then a lifejacket is recommended.
Wetsuit booties are also recommended for riding in colder Northern waters and climates.

HOW DO I CHARGE MY BATTERY?
Compatible with the US plug, you can charge the battery in any 220V / 110V outlet. It is important when you charge that the charging area, the chargers and the connectors, are all completely dry and safe from splashing. If multiple appliances are running on the same fuse, make sure that it can bear an additional 2,000 Watts of energy.

HOW DO I CONTROL MY RIDING SPEED?
Your riding speed is controlled with the wireless hand remote, which allows you to adjust the speed and acceleration rate of your jetboard with smooth and precise control.
You accelerate by pressing the throttle, and slow down by reducing pressure. To avoid falling while trying to master riding the board, it is important to increase and decrease the throttle gradually.
HOW FAST DO ELECTRIC SURFBOARDS GO?
The maximum speed registered on our electric surfboards is 41 MPH(65km/h).
It’s also important to note that the speed can be affected by the rider’s weight, riding style and the weather and battery conditions.
HOW DO I TURN ON MY BOARD?
Always make sure your assembly and battery insertion take place in a dry area.
Carefully insert the battery into the battery compartment and close the handle locks .
Fasten the leash around your ankle securely and connect your board to the hand remote. Next, press the throttle down for a few seconds until the LEDs light up. Once a connection is established, the LEDs will stop flashing.
Proceed to attach the magnet kill-switch to its cradle at the backside of the board.
You can now take your board into the water to ride.
HOW LONG IS A ELECTRIC SURFBOARD RIDE?
We offer two types of battery range:
Standard, with an estimated ride time of about 30 minutes, and
Extended, with an estimated ride time of about 45-65 minutes.
Note that riding times will always depend greatly on variables such as riding style, rider weight, the battery pack’s level of charge, and the air and water temperature. If you go at top speed and really explore the performance of the board, you’ll have a shorter riding time. If you cruise at a more moderate speed, you’ll be riding for longer. While these are common factors, they are not a guarantee of effective riding time.
WATER GOT INTO THE CONNECTOR OF THE BOARD/ THE BATTERY. WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?
Do NOT connect the battery to the board. Instead, allow it to dry for a couple of hours. To prevent this from happening, always make sure you store the board in dry conditions and assemble/disassemble the board away from the water.
