A surfboard with a surfboard body extending along a longitudinal direction  and having an upper surface and a bottom surface. An electrical battery pack is removably positioned in an upper compartment accessible from the upper surface. An electrically driven water-jet configured to propel the surfboard is provided with electrical power from the electrical battery pack. The electrically driven water-jet is provided in a propulsion module that is removably positioned in a lower compartment accessible from the lower surface. The upper compartment and the lower compartment partly overlaps each other as seen along the longitudinal direction.

The 20kW brushless electric motor amply delivers the torque necessary to propel the rider to speeds of up to 30 knots / 56 kph in mere seconds. A precision-machined impeller and housing parts ensure maximized efficiency and awe-inspiring acceleration. Watertight seals, together with the water the user rides on, eliminates the need for any internal coolants, minimizing maintenance.

Material

Composite materials allow for a lightweight craft, essential for achieving high speeds. Premium composites like carbon fiber allows the board to withstand hard impacts while protecting the vital electrical components inside, ensuring that you and your board can push the limits and come back in one piece. Made by hand with a composite construction, the board’s hull is built to last.

Motor

Battery

Working in tandem with the motor, the exchangeable battery pack is designed to meet the demanding requirements of the board. The battery pack uses lithium ion cells and delivers up to 40 minutes of mixed riding. The battery pack features an integrated LED indicator, letting the rider know when it is time to go back to shore.

Safety

uses multiple safety sensors throughout the system. This includes fundamental features such as temperature monitoring and automatic system shutdown if the product is turned upside down. The magnetically-triggered Power key (dead man’s grip function) ensures that the board can’t speed off on its own without the rider. These features promote the safe use your electric surfboard as an adrenaline-inducing machine as well as a relaxing experience on a calm lake.

Usability

Based on user feedback, the Boards are designed to facilitate maximum ease-of-use, both in and out of the water. The exchangeable battery pack is easily swapped by a single movement, enabling hours of riding. The wireless throttle is ergonomically and intuitively designed for ease-of-use and is – of course – wireless in every sense. Even when charging. The display monitors speed and other information significant to the rider.
