Electric vehicle charging ecosystem

 1. Energy Supply

Low-carbon energy sources such as wind farms and photovoltaic (PV) systems turn energy from wind or light into the electricity needed to meet the needs of commercial, industrial, and residential customers.

2. Business and Fleet Charging

Charging whilst parked at work is a convenient way for employees to recharge. Shell is also helping businesses electrify their own fleets with innovative, integrated charging solutions.

3. Charging On-the-Go

On forecourts or mobility hubs, electric fast charging services are developed for drivers who need to recharge their vehicle during their journeys. High-power, ultra-fast or ultra-rapid chargers at our stations (150kW+) can charge an electric vehicle faster than regular chargers – helping drivers get back to their journey sooner.

4. Home charging

For drivers with access to private parking, charging at home can be a convenient and cost-effective way for customers to recharge their cars while parked overnight. Home chargers offered by Shell Recharge Solutions (up to 22kW) units are wired to the central metering unit. They are usually on their own circuit for safety and to enable monitoring separate from other electric loads.

5. On-street charging

Ubitricity offers public charging infrastructure via lamp post EV charge points, an ideal solution for residents without private, off-street charging.

6. Destination charging

Charging during leisure activities or shopping is a productive way to recharge. From a business point of view, having a charge point onsite is a good opportunity to attract new customers and increase dwell time.
